The Bates Ski Team is one of the most successful teams Bates has to date. With consistent finishes among the top 15 programs in the country, the small school has made itself a familiar face at NCAA championships. The ski team consists of both Nordic and Alpine squads. Each team sends 6 men and 6 women to compete in the eastern carnival circuit, with every individual vying for the opportunity to compete at NCAA's to represent the school at a national level. The Nordic team typically starts their season in early October, while the alpine team normally starts in early November.
To raise money for charity, all of our athletes taking part in this competition have also take part in the 90 day keto challenge. By using the ketogenic recipes available from ruled.me, our athletes have been able to raise money as well as dip their feet into trying a new yet popular dieting alternative.
This site will serve as source of updates for the alumni, family and friends of Bates Skiing. Bates skiers will use this tool to bring you along on the adventures we encounter and the trials we endure throughout season. |
